Catherine Malear Singing since she was 7 and writing music since she was 15, Catherine was a voice student in college. Since high school, she has been singing off and on in various bands, but has found a home, and synergy with the musicians in Phantom Sirens. Not only does she lead with surprising vocal depth, she offers creative harmonies. She has also written a few originals the band plays today. Rosanna Jimeno Rosanna is an inspiration to be around and her voice lights up any song. She feels blessed that she gets to spend her days supporting youth in bolstering their mental health, but her evenings are spent immersed in music. After being in a relationship with a musician for over 20 years, somewhere along the way she decided to go with the flow and join the band as a singer and washboard player. Once Phantom Sirens heard her captivating voice, they knew she was the perfect blend to their voices. She adds compelling harmonies and takes the lead with her own magnetic and engaging style.... Jim Altman Jim has been playing guitar since the age of 13, when he first learned how to fingerpick Bluegrass style. Shortly after that he became fascinated by the hauntingly beautiful sound of the blues and started experimenting with whatever he could find to play slide guitar. He joined a band in college, and they did so well they were invited to a band competition TV show. Since then, he has played bass and guitar in several bands and has been playing with members of Phantom Sirens since 2014. Daniel French Daniel is mostly a self-taught musician that plays every instrument with strings and a few other horn type instruments. He did spend some time under the tutelage of the great David Lindley. He played with several jam bands at hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years, including Moore Hallucinations (who opened for the Grateful Dead on their summer tour), Head, Black Toad, Angelo Meatcraft Flying Machine (AMFM), Potato Bug, Clavinoid, Desert Squalls, and others. He owns and operates Fishbonius Sound Design, where he does music composition, recording, SFX, Foley, mixing, mastering, and sound design for advertisements, podcasts, and film. Rod Diaz Rod was born into a musical family; his father played classical and folk guitar and performed at SB Bowl in the 70's. He grew up around musicians and music filled his home. Rod first learned piano as a child and gave his first concert at age 12. He went to college to study philosophy and really enjoyed the live music scene and began to learn guitar, primarily playing rock and blues. He played guitar for many years with several bands in town and dabbled in percussion and keyboards. He picked up the bass guitar more than a decade ago and has found a passion for bringing his own groove to the music he plays.... View Profile
